Located in the foothills of the beautiful North Georgia mountains, Cochran Creek Goat Farm came into existence in the Fall of 2002. Two "city folks" from Atlanta had purchased some land and wanted to add some farm animals. After watching cattle shows, horse shows, goat shows, and even a skunk show, we decided we liked Boer goats. So, with no experience and limited knowledge, we bought six Boer does and one donkey as the herd guard. With lots of learning on our own and lots of help and advice from friends in the business, we've now grown to 100 goats and 7 Great Pyrennes dogs. Our donkey was sold after we discovered she was more interested in eating goat feed and alfalfa hay than guarding the goats! We've become very interestd in the colored Boer goats, and acquired a red buck in 2005. In addition to our traditional does and bucks, we have red, paint, and black Boers. We offer quality breeding stock --- fullblood, pureblood, and percentage --- as well as commercial goats. Our focus is to breed for correctness as well as for color. Come visit us, we're just 1.5 hours north of Atlanta.
